Last night, author Robin Hemley visited Ripon College and did a public reading on campus. Hemley, the winner of multiple awards such as the 2012 Pushcart Prize and a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2008, has written eleven books of fiction and non-fiction. Currently he serves as the senior editor of the Iowas Review and the University of Iowa’s Nonfiction writing program as it’s Director. It was a pleasure to have him on campus where he was able to talk with our students about his writing style, where he finds inspiration, and who some of his favorite authors are. Hemley is just one of a few visiting writers that visit Ripon College every year. In a few weeks, Ripon Alumnus and Poet, Brent Goodman will be returning to campus for a reading and a discussion of his poetry as well. Thanks for visiting Robin, we hope to see you on campus again soon.
