 Ripon College is excited to announce the Career Discovery Tour, a program committed to further expand student-alumni career networking opportunities. President Messitte and the Alumni Board of Directors are passionate about offering new and exciting opportunities for current students to gain first-hand knowledge of a variety of careers and cities directly from Ripon alumni.
With special funding from the Alumni Board and others, this spring, the Career Discovery Tour will take students during Spring Break (March 16-20, 2014) to the Twin Cities to visit the workplaces of alumni and friends of the college.
Among the site hosts students will visit are:
Phil Jenni ’76, Executive Director, Wildlife Rehabilitation Center Dan McNaughton ’86, Owner, EGP, Inc.Adele Binning ’79, Former Exhibit Developer at Science Museum of MinnesotaMelinda Hutchinson ’93, Grants and Field Program Associate, Minnesota Historical SocietyMatt Gehring ’03, Attorney, Minnesota State LegislatureBrad Dimond ’81, IT Manager, Target CorporationGene Schneider ’90/P’17, Senior Group Manager, Target CorporationJulie Marchant ’02, Digital Product Manager for Guest Account Management, Target Corporationand more, soon to be announced!
Application deadline: Friday, 12/6 at 5 p.m.
CostThanks to funding from the Alumni Board and the President’s Fund for Career Development, the cost to participating students for transportation, hotels, and most meals is significantly defrayed and will total $200. Additional support for students with demonstrated financial need may also be available. Students will need to provide their own spending money for souvenirs, snacks, or other assorted items.
AvailabilityThere are 12 spots available for the trip.
TransportationTravel to Minnesota will be provided in College vans.
